Serie A betting – Juventus the favourites once more

Juventus celebrate SuperCoppa win over Lazio

The Italian Serie A season starts this weekend, and we have all the best betting tips for you from the opening weekend. Last week, we were right on just of the three tips, so lets hope for a better return this time.

Juventus once more are the massive favourites to claim yet another league title, after they strengthened their team even further with the arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. The striking duo might take some time to find their feet, but once they do, the Bianconeri could well be unmatchable.

After their dominating 4-0 win against Lazio in the Super Cup last weekend, the Old Lady travels to Sampdoria for the season opener. Curiously enough, the Blucerchiati were the only side to beat the champions both home and away last season, and in fact are unbeaten them in the last five meetings between the two.

They are somewhat of a bogey team for the Bianconeri, who have only beaten them twice in the last 10 encounters. However, as we found out with Liverpool last weekend, history is not always the best indicator and for this game, we have to go for the away win at 1.42.

On Sunday, Inter host Genoa at the San Siro. The Nerazzurri have had their problems this season, but new manager Walter Mazzarri is an experienced tactician who is skilled in getting the best out of his squad. The Nerazzurri did have a morale boosting 4-0 win over Serie B side Cittadella in the Coppa Italia last weekend.

The home win at 1.62 is not a bad price, despite the fact that both games between the two ended in draws last season. Games between these two sides do tend to produce goals and Over 3.5 goals at 3.50 could be a good high-value bet.

Finally, we turn our attention to the final game of the weekend on Sunday night, when Roma travel to face Livorno. The Giallorossi have lost a couple of players in the summer, and Lille’s league winning coach Rudi Garcia will be hoping to make an instant impact in the capital.

The Frenchman finds himself reunited with Gervinho, who joined on loan from Arsenal, while the addition of young Dutch talent Kevin Strootman is another good signing.  The away win is at 1.95 and against a Livorno side making its return to Serie A, this is a good price.

So, those are the three picks for this weekend –

Juventus @1.42 to beat Sampdoria

Inter @1.62 to beat Genoa

Roma @1.95 to beat Livorno

Treble pay-out at 4.50
