Serie A Betting Tips: Milan head south to face Napoli

It has been a miserable start to the Serie A season for Milan, as they continue to languish in the bottom half of the table. The Rossoneri travel south to take on third placed Napoli on Saturday night, hoping to raise morale with a confidence boosting win.

Back Edinson Cavani to score two or more goals at 4.50

Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has consistently been criticised throughout the season, and is once again under intense pressure after seeing his side fall to a 3-1 home defeat to Fiorentina last weekend.

Vincenzo Montella’s side not only inflicted a sixth defeat of the season on Milan, but largely outplayed them with Alexandre Pato’s missed penalty capping a miserable Sunday afternoon. The home faithful did little to hide their anger, jeering the players off at both the half and full-time whistles.

The Rossoneri face a crunch week starting with their trip to Napoli, before travelling to Anderlecht for a make-or-break Champions League clash and ending with a meeting with Juventus at San Siro.

In contrast, Napoli have recovered from a stuttering end to October and returned to winning ways with victory at Genoa last weekend. Trailing 2-1 entering the final ten minutes of the game, Walter Mazzarri’s men rattled in three goals to secure victory and held on to third spot.

In the corresponding fixture last season, talismanic striker Edinson Cavani helped himself to a hat-trick in a 3-1 win, however that is the Partenopei’s only win in the last eight meetings between these two sides.

Juventus v Lazio

Back Juventus to win at 1.50

Back Mirko Vucinic to score first at 5.50

After their 49 game unbeaten run came to a crushing end at the hands of rivals Inter a fortnight ago, many expected it to have a negative effect on Juventus. However, the Bianconeri, still without the touchline assistance of coach Antonio Conte, have scored ten goals in the two games since.

Four against Nordsjaelland were followed by six at Pescara last weekend, but the Turin club will know they face a much more difficult task on Saturday evening.

Lazio bounced back from a horrid triple set of results with an all important win in the Derby della Capitale last weekend. Stefano Mauri is suspended after being sent off in the closing stages of that tense encounter, but is joined by Andrea Pirlo who also misses out.

Juve have won four of the last six meetings between the two, while the last time Lazio beat their opponents in the league was back in December 2003. However, Juve do have a decisive Champions League clash with Chelsea to think about on Tuesday night.
